Rules for Participation

  1. All participants in the lamp exchange program must be residential customers of Southern California Edison. Participants do not have to live in the city where the event is being held, but they must be SCE residential customers. Customer proof will be accepted by having a California driver's license with a zip code falling in the SCE service territory or by showing an SCE residential bill.
  2. Customers may bring up to 10 lamps per exchange event day.
  3. Lamps should be in working order and we would prefer that you left your lampshades at home.
  4. Customers participating in the exchange must be over 18 years of age.
  5. All products for exchange must be within a similar wattage replacement category:
    • Desk and Table Lamps 60 watts and greater qualify for new Desk or Table Lamps numbers 1-6
    • Floor Lamps 60 watts to 180 watts: qualify for new Desk, Table or Floor Lamps numbers 1-10
    • Floor Lamps 180 watts and up: qualify for any lamp 1 – 12
    • Halogen Torchiere Lamps: qualify for any lamp 1 – 12
  6. New lamps received at one event may not be exchanged for different lamps at a subsequent event.
  7. Defective lamps will be either replaced or fixed on site during the event. After an event has taken place, please contact the lamp manufacturer on your warranty sheet. Replacements of defective lamps will be of the same model as the original lamp received.
  8. Exchanges are "while supplies last." We cannot guarantee stock of any specific lamp styles at every event. It is typical for exchange events to run low on some items near the end of the exchange event. Come early for the best selection and quickest wait times.
  9. Exchanges move much quicker in the early morning. If coming to the exchange any later than 9 am we suggest you wear sunscreen, bring a hat and water.
